A place called Jemaa el-Fnaa

With its food stands, street performers, snake charmers, and traditional musicians, this famous central area is the beating heart of Marrakech. It turns into a busy outdoor food market at night in the square.

Koutoubia Mosque

It is Marrakech’s most prominent mosque, famous for its 77-meter-tall dome. The mosque’s exterior and grounds are worth seeing, but only Muslims are allowed inside.

Majorelle Garden

Yves Saint Laurent, the fashion designer, renovated this beautiful botanical park, which was planned by the French artist Jacques Majorelle. The complex includes beautiful blue buildings, strange plants, and soothing ponds.

Saadian Tombs

People from the Saadian family were buried in these beautiful tombs found in 1917. The tombs are famous for their marble carvings and elaborate tilework.

Bahia Palace

This 1800s palace is stunning, with its beautiful architecture and peaceful grounds. Visitors should not miss it because of its beautiful tilework, carved ceilings, and quiet gardens.

El Badi Palace

If you go to El Badi’s house, you can see what was once a beautiful house that is now mostly in ruins. The large courtyards and the remaining parts of its grand design give a sense of its past glory.

Marrakech Souks

The traditional markets (souks) in Marrakech are a maze of small streets. Here, people sell clothes, jewelry, spices, and more. Part of the fun is negotiating.

Ben Youssef Madrasa

It used to be an Islamic school famous for its beautiful architecture and intricate features, such as carvings in cedar wood and zellij tiles.
